Huck Johns is new to Franklin, but not new to the ways of Tennessee. Having been raised in Detroit Michigan by parents who were Artists and builders who also owned and founded a local Art supply and framing store as a child he spent the most of his days after school at one or two places, the Art store or with his southern born grandparents who both hailed from Hohenwald, Tennessee.
When Huck wasn't drawing pictures or meeting local artists he was running in a garden barefoot, playing with the hunting beagles in the back farm roads, riding the tractor with his Pa or in the kitchen with Gram learning the southern ways of middle Tennessee in a Michigan country setting.
Trips down south came often throughout his youth to the Great Smokey Mountains, The World's fair in Knoxville and of course Hohenwald.
After high school Huck began a career in drafting and auto component design contracted in Detroit working for the big 3 and then he traveled west to Los Angeles to pursue his artistic dream, as a recording artist he toured the U.S.A. supporting his Capitol Records release and upon his return back to L.A.he continued his music career along with his artistic education by exploring classes at the world renowned art school "Otis".
Huck and his family relocated to the Nashville area and found a home in Franklin where his idea of sharing his talents became in blessed demand during the spring of 2021 when a request came from neighbors for penned portraits of their current and previous homes.
To date Huck has created hand penned drawings for so many neighbors, friends and residents that it keeps him busier, as he says,"then a wet cat".
Putting his heart ,soul and character into each rendition he is honored to have his work hanging on the walls of countless wonderful middle Tennessee homes
only hoping that he gets the chance to continue sharing his gift that will bring joy to those who request them and be handed down to those who dwell in these homes for generations to come.

Most of the home drawings seen are created from google maps.
You give the address and he does the rest unless you have specific photos that you are able to email to Huck in advance.
Multi views and added color are extra depending on the requests.
All drawings unless requested otherwise are 11x 14 on premium paper and are matted with 2 inch mats and framed with gallery quality black framing and fade resistant resin.
Starting at $325.00
Anything larger or smaller is an extra cost.
Payments are made in advance via cash, check or VENMO @huckjohns
Each drawing takes up to two weeks for completion and you will be notified to pick it up when it's done unless it needs to be shipped to you in which an extra fee for shipping and handling will be added to the upfront cost.
